Legislative Advocacy
SBSB provides you with education, advocacy and action in Washington, D.C. and state
capitols on key legislative issues. By joining SBSB, small business owners, entrepreneurs
and individuals are assured that their voice is heard and their opinions count.
You need to know about proposed legislation on the state and national level before
it passes, and prepare accordingly. SBSB members are regularly informed about recent
changes in the law, and why these changes matter to their business. At SBSB, we
believe informed knowledge helps prevent problems.

SBSB Legislative Council
|
|
As a member of the SBSB Legislative Council, your voice will be heard. Council members
agree to speak to their lawmakers about important legislative issues—through personal
visits, phone calls, email or letter-writing initiatives. Council members are asked
from time to time to testify at state and federal legislative hearings, and communicate
with the media. SBSB works with council members to prepare for testimony or interviews.

legislators do their job. To assist you, SBSB has created the Guide to Communicating
With Your Legislators, a “how-to” guide for communicating with legislators.
FREE to members, it includes tips for sending emails, making telephone calls, arranging
